Protection for Today's Steam Boilers |

When
the water begins to boil, foam can rise above the water
level.
If
the water level falls below the probe during normal operation,
the foam can create a false signal, allowing the burner
to remain on. |
At
10-minute intervals, CycleGard shuts down the boiler
to conduct a 90 second Intermittent Level Test.
During
the test, foam and volatile water conditions settle.
Cyclegard is then able to monitor the true water level
in the boiler.
If
the water level is sufficient, CycleGard restores the
burner operation. |
If
the water settles to an unsafe level, CycleGard prevents
the burner from firing until the water level is restored.* |
